The Brief

The Pineapple Republic were engaged to build a personable brand identity across Instagram and Facebook for Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa using strategic advertising campaigns and by creating shareable content.

The Campaign

The 12-month social media campaign targeted local, drive and interstate guests encouraging bookings for the hotel accommodation and repeat business for the seafood buffet, lounge bar, and teppanyaki restaurant. The team engaged targeted social media influencers to further share key messages to additional demographics, which grew the social media following substantially. The Pineapple Republic also created a four-week PR campaign ahead of the hotel’s 25th birthday.

PR highlight was resurrecting a submerged treasure chest filled with prizes for guests from the hotel lagoon. This event secured widespread media coverage.

Instagram follower growth: 50% in 12 months. Secured 28 influencers.
